Mark has over 10 years of management experience in small startup IT companies. As CTO of Tantalus Communications Inc. (1996 – 2002), he built the largest Oracle software development company in Western Canada. He also led the sales and marketing group from 2000 – 2002 during its geographic expansion into Eastern Canada and the Pacific Northwest. During his time at Tantalus, Mark worked with the other members of the management team (including Tanya Burek) to take Tantalus from $200,000 in revenue to over $4,000,000 with over 50 employees. During the collapse of the IT market in 2000 and 2001 they slowly decreased the size of the company, while still providing a high level of software development and consulting. Tantalus wound up in 2002 and Mark joined Pangaea Systems Inc. as part of the acquisition.
